Roof Terrace Decking in Battersea – South London

This roof terrace deck and balustrade was constructed using a mix of Ipe Hardwood, toughened glass and stainless steel wire. Together these materials give a high class, professional finish. The glass panels provide a safe decking area without compromising the lovely view out to the garden.

Before the Greater London Decking team arrived at this job there was only a dangerous, steep and unsightly staircase down to the garden. The new deck provides two benefits to the client – a safe and pleasant area of decking and a smart and practical route down to the lower garden via the new staircase which we also built.

The stainless steel wire used here by Greater London Decking is the same wire used on yachts. It is very strong and will not corrode or discolour. Some of our clients also use this to train various plants alongside their decking.

The final addition to this deck was a bespoke hardwood child gate. With this the clients can let their young children play on the decked area without the risk of them falling or venturing onto the lower garden where they might get into mischief!
