Garden Patio Decking in Pinner – West of London

This lovely hardwood deck has been constructed using Yellow Balau hardwood. The client wanted a continuation from the floor inside onto the deck and again onto the lawn. It is a very simple design but very effective. Special care was needed to ensure that the soil was not directly touching the timber frame of the new deck as this can accelerate the rotting process of the timber. The deck boards were specially ordered so they were long enough to span from the house all the way to the lawn.

This photo was taken just after we applied two coats of Seasonite which keeps exterior timber looking newer for longer and stops the timber from drying out.

All hardwood decking will eventually colour down the a silvery grey colour but can be rejuvenated by applying decking oils. Even very old decks can be made to look like this one if the right oils are used.
