This deck was constructed using Ipe Hardwood. Like most
folk in
London this outdoor space needed to be taken advantage
of. What better way than a well installed hardwood deck
from Greater London Decking. Planning restrictions meant
that opaque glass was required at 1.5m high around the
perimeter of the deck. Combined with the Ipe Hardwood
this glass contrasts well to give a clean, modern look.
Any extra additions for decks are no problem for Greater London Decking. In this case we built two corner planters, seating a feature planter by the chimney and a watertight storage box. One advantage of using Ipe hardwood is that dirt can contact the timber and not have any effect. In America there are Ipe fence posts that have been in the ground for over 100 years and are still solid as a rock!
